Jubilations as NYSC DG confirms 77k monthly allowance
Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced that corps members will begin receiving a monthly allowance of N77,000 starting in March 2025.
Speaking during an interactive session with corps members at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja, Nafiu reassured them that the Federal Government and the NYSC remain committed to their welfare.

He emphasized that ensuring the well-being of corps members remains a top priority. The DG commended the selfless service of corps members and urged them to stay calm, dedicated, and disciplined in the discharge of their duties.
He also praised the visionaries behind the NYSC scheme and called on all stakeholders to continue supporting its objectives. Furthermore, he reiterated the NYSC’s commitment to instilling patriotism, discipline, leadership qualities, and teamwork among corps members. “From March, you will start receiving N77,000 as your monthly allowance.
