Oyo state orders 202 unintegrated teachers back to LGUBEAs

The Oyo State Government has today ordered 202 teachers, who were not integrated into the Post-Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), to return to their Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities (UBEAs) without further delay. This move follows the refusal of these teachers to report back to their primary assignments despite consistently receiving salaries.

Oyo state intensifies building regulations to prevent collapses

The Oyo State Government has today ordered 202 teachers, who were not integrated into the Post-Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), to return to their Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities (UBEAs) without further delay.

The directive was issued by Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), during a meeting with Education Secretaries from the 33 Local Government UBEAs held in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

It will be recalled that the State Government had absorbed approximately 2,000 primary school teachers, previously seconded to TESCOM by the previous administration, in October 2022.

However, the 202 teachers in question were not integrated into the post-primary school system.

Despite continuing to receive their salaries regularly from the current administration, they have reportedly refused to return to their LGUBEAs or OYOSUBEB, prompting today’s firm directive.
