Aisha El-Rufai appeals to Tinubu, seeks fair treatment for former Kaduna Governor(Video)
Hajiya Hadiza Isma El-Rufai has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to ensure fair treatment for her husband, Nasir El-Rufai, saying the former governor and his family have endured significant hardship and emotional trauma.
In a public appeal, El-Rufai’s wife urged the President to uphold the principles of justice and fairness, stressing that her husband deserves to enjoy his constitutional rights without intimidation or undue persecution.
She recalled the role her family played in supporting Tinubu’s presidential ambition, noting that they actively campaigned for him with the expectation that his administration would be guided by the rule of law and equitable treatment of all Nigerians.

According to her, the family has experienced difficult moments in recent months as a result of the challenges confronting the former Kaduna State governor. She said the situation has taken an emotional toll on the family, adding that they remain hopeful that the President will intervene to ensure justice prevails.
She appealed directly to Tinubu to rise above political differences and demonstrate statesmanship by ensuring that El-Rufai is accorded fair treatment in line with the provisions of the law.
The appeal comes amid heightened political tensions surrounding the former Kaduna governor, who has recently been at the centre of political and legal controversies following the end of his tenure in office.
