Manchester United part ways with Skinner ahead of new season
Manchester United Women have parted ways with head coach Marc Skinner by mutual agreement, just a month before the start of the new Women’s Super League season.
The club announced Skinner’s departure in a statement on Monday, bringing an end to his five-year spell in charge.
“Marc Skinner has departed his role as head coach of Manchester United Women by mutual agreement,” the club said.

“Marc leaves having made a significant contribution to the continued progress of Manchester United Women.”
Skinner, who was appointed in 2021, guided United to their first major honour in women’s football by winning the FA Cup in 2024.
Last season, United finished fourth in the Women’s Super League, 15 points behind champions Manchester City.
The club will begin the new league campaign away to London City Lionesses on September 4 as preparations continue under a new coaching setup.
