Oba Femi delivered a statement performance on his WrestleMania debut, overpowering Brock Lesnar in under five minutes at WrestleMania 42.

The 27-year-old Nigerian star produced one of the biggest shocks of the night, dominating the 10-time WWE Champion in a high-intensity clash that quickly became a major talking point.

Lesnar, long regarded as one of WWE’s most dominant figures, left his wrestling gear in the ring after the defeat — a symbolic act widely interpreted as a potential retirement signal.

Despite spending only three months on WWE’s main roster, Femi showed remarkable composure and strength, matching Lesnar from the opening bell.

The bout began cautiously, with both wrestlers testing each other’s power before Lesnar briefly seized control with a series of punishing strikes. However, Femi absorbed the pressure and shifted momentum, surviving an F5 before responding with a thunderous chokeslam.

He sealed the victory with his signature “Fall From Grace” sit-out powerbomb, securing a decisive pinfall win.

The result sparked widespread reaction across social media, with fans praising the Nigerian wrestler’s breakout performance on the grand stage.

A former shot put athlete, Femi has rapidly risen through the ranks since joining WWE in 2021 via its NIL programme. He is a two-time NXT Champion and a former NXT North American Champion, and also claimed the 2023 NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament and the 2024 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge.
