Arsenal eye €70-80m move for Real Madrid star

Arsenal are reportedly considering an ambitious move for Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the England international potentially available for €70-80 million.

According to Fussball News, the Gunners are seriously considering bringing the former Liverpool defender back to the Premier League.

Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid after leaving Liverpool and has experienced a mixed spell at the Spanish club, with his form reportedly contributing to his omission from England’s World Cup squad.

Despite that, the 27-year-old remains highly regarded for his ability to influence games from right-back, particularly with his passing range and delivery from set pieces.

Real Madrid could reportedly be willing to negotiate a deal in the region of €70-80 million, potentially opening the door for Arsenal to make a move.

Mikel Arteta already has Jurrien Timber and Ben White as options at right-back, but Alexander-Arnold would offer a different attacking dimension from the position.

The England international is known for his long-range passing and ability to create chances from deep, while he has also demonstrated a threat from free-kicks and distance.

Arsenal could therefore see the former Liverpool star as an opportunity to add another creative outlet to their attack if they decide to pursue the reported transfer.
