Versat steps up EXEED’s entry into Nigeria’s premium auto market
Versat Automobile Limited is stepping up preparations for the Nigerian introduction of EXEED, a premium automotive brand under China’s Chery Automobile, with a focus on advanced technology, contemporary design, performance and customer experience.
The development marks a new phase in EXEED’s pre-launch activities following its initial introduction to the Nigerian market in August.
The company is using the period to familiarise prospective customers with the philosophy behind the brand, including its approach to intelligent vehicle systems, cabin technology, connectivity and driving performance.
As a premium marque within the Chery Automobile family, EXEED draws on its parent company’s investments in automotive research and development, covering vehicle architecture, powertrain engineering, intelligent cabin systems and connected driving technologies.
However, the brand is seeking to distinguish itself through a combination of technological innovation, distinctive styling and what it describes as a Spirit of Exploration.
According to the company, its approach to innovation goes beyond incorporating additional features into vehicles to focus on technology that improves convenience, connectivity, performance and the overall driving experience.
Design is also central to the brand’s identity, with attention to exterior proportions, lighting, detailing and cabin architecture, while maintaining functionality and everyday usability.

The philosophy, captured in its slogan, “Born for More,” is intended to appeal to customers seeking experiences beyond conventional luxury and viewing mobility as an opportunity for exploration.
Versat Automobile said the positioning comes as Nigeria’s premium automotive market evolves, with customers increasingly considering technology, comfort, design, performance and the overall ownership experience when evaluating vehicles.
The company believes EXEED can respond to these changing expectations by combining advanced automotive technologies with contemporary design and a distinct brand identity.
Speaking on the development, Christopher Irumudomon, General Manager, Sales, Versat Automobile Limited, said the company’s entry strategy was intended to introduce Nigerian consumers to a different approach to premium mobility.
“The introduction of EXEED is about more than bringing another automotive brand to Nigeria,” Irumudomon said.
“It is about introducing a different perspective on premium mobility, one that brings together technology, design, performance and the freedom to explore. EXEED has a distinctive philosophy and a clear vision for what it wants to represent, and we are excited to give Nigerians a closer look at the brand and what it has to offer,” he added.
The company said further information about EXEED’s technology, design philosophy and vehicle range would be disclosed as the pre-launch programme progresses.
As part of its broader engagement with emerging technologies, the Versat team is scheduled to attend the International User Summit in China in October.
The visit is also expected to provide an opportunity for in-depth engagement with Aimoga, a high-end robotics brand, highlighting the growing convergence of robotics, intelligent systems and future mobility.
The engagement reflects the expanding relationship between the automotive industry and other technology-driven sectors, as manufacturers explore new ways to integrate intelligent systems into products and customer experiences.
For EXEED, the Nigerian market entry will provide an opportunity to establish its identity among consumers in the premium vehicle segment.
Through its emphasis on exploration, innovation and premium experiences, the brand is positioning itself to compete in a market where buyers are increasingly attentive to the technology, functionality and value offered by modern vehicles.
Versat Automobile Limited is expected to provide further details about the brand’s products and plans for Nigeria as the pre-launch campaign advances.
