Versat Automobile to launch Chery’s EXEED premium brand in Nigeria

Versat Automobile Limited is set to introduce EXEED, the premium automotive brand of Chinese automaker Chery Automobile, to the Nigerian market as it targets the country’s growing demand for sophisticated and technology-driven vehicles.

The official Nigerian debut of EXEED is scheduled for December 2026, marking a new phase in Versat Automobile’s expansion into the premium mobility segment.

The brand will enter the Nigerian market under its “Born for More” philosophy, which is built around ambition, exploration and the pursuit of experiences beyond the ordinary.

According to the company, EXEED combines advanced automotive technology, distinctive design and refined driving experiences aimed at meeting the expectations of an increasingly discerning Nigerian customer base.

EXEED Targets Nigeria’s Premium Automotive Market

Drawing on Chery Automobile’s extensive research and development capabilities, EXEED is positioned as a premium brand focused on intelligent technology, sophisticated styling and contemporary mobility.

Versat said the brand’s combination of technology and design is expected to appeal to Nigerian consumers seeking vehicles that offer more than conventional transportation.

“The arrival of EXEED represents an exciting new chapter for premium mobility in Nigeria,” said Christopher Irumudomon, General Manager, Sales, Versat Automobile Limited.

“We are looking forward to introducing Nigerians to a brand that challenges convention, embraces exploration, and is truly Born for More,” he added.

Technology and Design at the Centre

EXEED’s Nigerian introduction is expected to place significant emphasis on the technology and design features underpinning its vehicles.

In the months leading up to the December launch, Versat Automobile said it would release additional information about the brand’s technology, design philosophy and performance capabilities.

The company said the pre-launch campaign would provide prospective customers with a closer look at the features and engineering behind EXEED before the official market debut.

The move comes as Nigeria’s automotive market continues to evolve, with consumers increasingly showing interest in vehicles that combine premium styling, technology, performance and comfort.

Building a Premium Mobility Portfolio

For Versat Automobile, the EXEED launch represents another step in its strategy of establishing itself as a significant player in Nigeria’s automotive industry.

The company was established in 2024 to provide mobility solutions tailored to the Nigerian market and made its market debut in 2026 with C&C Trucks.

Its business proposition is built around performance, durability, quality, reliability and customer support.

The introduction of EXEED will expand its portfolio from commercial vehicles into the premium passenger-vehicle segment, potentially giving the company a broader presence across Nigeria’s automotive market.

With its Nigerian debut scheduled for December, attention will now turn to the specific EXEED models, pricing, specifications and after-sales support that Versat Automobile will make available to Nigerian customers.
