INEC declares Feb. 16, 2019 for Presidential, NASS elections
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections to hold on Feb. 16, 2019. The Commission revealed this on Thursday through its official Twitter account.
Thereafter, other election which include governorship and House of Assembly polls will follow.
However, the inauguration of the emergent president and governors will hold on May, 29, 2019 and subsequent inauguration of the National Assembly and House of Assembly in the 36 states of the Federation.

Meanwhile, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is the aspirant that has declared for the presidential race.
However, it is not clear yet whether President Muhammadu Buhari will be seeking re-election. The President has not had stable stay in office since his inauguration in 2015 due to ill-health which forces him into frequent medial vacation to London, United Kingdom.
Former Vice President Abubakar Atiku has maintained stable mobilization for support towards his 2019 presidential ambition.
Also, former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has been traversing the length and breadth of the country mobilizing for the 2019 presidential race on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
