Tinubu, Atiku meet
In a coincidental political arrangement, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, leading presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had an unscheduled meeting in Akure, Ondo State, early in the week. The meeting was brief as the two old political friends exchanged pleasantries.
National Daily gathered that the former Vice-President, Atiku, and the former Governor of Lagos State, Tinubu, had met at the Akure airport, Ondo State on their way to Ekiti State.
Atiku was on his way to Ekiti State on a working visit while Tinubu was on his way to Ekiti for APC mega campaign to mobilize support for APC candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, in the July 14 governorship election in the state.
Atiku was in the company of former Governor of Ogun State, Director General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, Otunba Gbenga Daniel; former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi; Capt. Yaya Abubakar and Adamu Abubakar.
Tinubu was accompanied by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State; Kashim Imam and Pius Akinyelure.
They had no time for long talks, so, they exchanged pleasantries and proceeded on respective scheduled duties.
