Fayemi bringing Fayose, Buhari together October 16 in Ekiti
Gov.-Elect Kayode Fayemi is inviting the out-going governor and opposition stalwart Ayo Fayose to the October 16 inauguration billed for October 16.
Amongst those expected are President Muhammadu Buhari, governors, past and present, and other dignitaries.
Renowned poet and professor, Niyi Osundare, will deliever a lecture entitled “Reclaiming Our Land, Restoring Our Values, Ekiti of my Dream”.
Speaking through the chairman of the inauguration’s Media and Publicity sub-committee, the incoming APC governor said Fayose is free to grace the occasion if he wishes.
“The committee for Dr. Fayemi’s inauguration has been communicating with those working on the side of the government, ” said Yinka Oyebode.
“The government also graciously gave us the use of some of its facilities, so we have been
working together.
“President Buhari attaches much interest to the ceremony, because of the love he has for Ekiti and he will also be attending as the father of the nation.
“All the state governors have been invited and Governor Fayose, being the outgoing Ekiti governor, is free to attend,” Oyebode said.
There will be a post-inauguration ceremony featuring a town hall meeting with Fayemi across the three senatorial districts of the state.
