Police Assures Of Security in North East
The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of elections, northeastern Nigeria, Usman Abubakar, has assured that the Nigeria Police is fully ready for the conduct of the 2019 general elections.
Usman Abubakar disclosed this at a meeting with other security agents and stakeholders in Gombe State while addressing the issue of election security.
The DIG of Police for elections in the northeastern Nigeria said the Nigeria Police Force is ready to carry out its duties to ensure lives and properties are secured and ensure 2019 general elections is free fair and violence-free.
The new Commissioner of Police in Gombe State, Bello Makwashi, also said his Command is ready to make the exercise hitch-free.
Various security agencies assured the dig of their collaborative effort to maintain law and order.
