Mfon Udoh top player of week ten in NPFL
This was yet another game-winning display by Mfon Udoh, the striker who took the NPFL by storm five years ago with goals, National Daily learnt.
His match winner against a tough and confident FC Ifeanyiubah was his sixth goal in nine appearances this season and Akwa United are now third in Group B with 15 points from nine games after a difficult start to the campaign.
National Daily learnt that Udoh connected a through ball by Friday Ubong to score what will be the match winner on 40 minutes.
The all-time Goal King of the league with 23 goals in a single season has truly rediscovered the form that once got tongues wagging.
He has certainly put behind a long injury layoff as well as an acrimonious departure from Enyimba to be truly at home at hometown club Akwa United.
Other individual eye-catching displays include Adeniji Kabir’s fourth goal for table-topping MFM FC and Isah Ndala’s screamer of a winner for Nasarawa United against Yobe Desert Stars.
