Gombe voters set agenda for Buhari
The people of Gombe State have expressed their satisfaction with the result and the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari who was declared winner of the 2019 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC last Saturday.
The Gombe people, subsequently, highlighted their expectations, setting an agenda for the re-elected president.
Youths in Gombe said that their expectations from President Buhari include more involvement of youths in politics.
The people of Gombe said they are satisfied with the outcome because their votes mattered. The governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party in Gombe, Abdul-Ganiyu Bello, congratulated the President on his victory and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for a peaceful, free, and fair election.
Gombe is quite expectant that the same orderliness would prevail in the governorship election come March 9.
Gombe is controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, however, the Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, was defeated in the National Assembly elections, losing his bid to retire to the Senate.
