Alli sends warning to United
Manchester United will face a Tottenham side determined to lay down a marker in the pre-season friendly in Shanghai on Thursday.
Dele Alli insists Spurs will be taking the fixture seriously as they look to build on an impressive 3-2 win over Juventus in Singapore.
United head into the friendly with a perfect record of their own this summer, having beaten Inter Milan 1-0 in Singapore, 24 hours earlier than Tottenham’s dramatic win, secured with Harry Kane’s injury-time strike from the halfway line.
Fresh from defeat in last season’s Champions League final, Alli insists Spurs will take the threat of United seriously and although it’s still two-and-a-half weeks before the serious business begins they want to put in a good performance against a Premier League rival.
