Bandits collect N5m ransom for kidnapped Polytechnic lecturer already killed in Zamfara
Bandits in Zamfara State collected N5 million ransom for the release of a kidnapped victim who had already been killed after five weeks in their custody.
The bandits were said to have received the N5 million ransom last Tuesday in a bush along Kaduna/Zaria road, Kaduna State, for the release of a kidnapped Lecturer, who was also the Student Affairs Officer, of the Polytechnic, Sanusi Halilu, who had been killed by the bandits after five weeks in captivity.
The bandits were said to revealed the killing of the victim within 24 hours of receiving the N5 million ransom for his release.
The bandits had kidnapped Sanusi on his way to Abuja for NYSC Mobilisation of the polytechnic students in May.
