Bandits kill Poly teacher, kidnap 2 daughters
Bandits at the weekend killed Polytechnic teacher, Zakari Kigbu, with the Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, Nasarawa State. Bandits also kidnapped two daughters of the teacher as they escaped after the operation. The deceased was shot dead in his bedroom, according to the police.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, Rahman Nansel, was gathered to have narrated:
“we got a distress call at about 12:20am about the attack and reacted swiftly by mobilising our patrol teams and the military to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was discovered that the victim had been shot in his abdomen. He was rushed to the hospital and confirmed dead while his two daughters were abducted to an unknown destination.
“The command has commenced an intensive manhunt for the perpetrators of the dastardly act.”
The police disclosed that they have commenced a manhunt for the killers and rescue of the kidnapped daughters of the deceased.
