Bayelsa Queens strengthen Squad ahead of 2024/2025 season

Bayelsa Queens, a prominent team in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, has bolstered its roster by signing three new players ahead of the upcoming 2024/2025 season.
The acquisitions include attackers Precious Oscar from Imo Strikers and Confidence Onen from Kwara Ladies, along with attacking midfielder Zainab Yinusa from Dream Stars Ladies of Lagos.
The Bayelsa Queens club announced on Thursday that these players were identified during the recent NWFL Championship held in Calabar.
Technical adviser Whyte Ogbonda expressed confidence that the new signings would significantly enhance the team’s attacking capabilities.
“With the three new players, we are well prepared for the commencement of the league,” Ogbonda stated, acknowledging past difficulties in scoring goals.

He emphasized that the addition of two strikers and an attacking midfielder positions the team, known as the Prosperity Queens, for a stronger performance this season.
National Daily Newspaper gathered that Bayelsa Queens finished in third place in the NWFL Super Six playoffs last season.
