NWFL board congratulates Falode over Pitch Award

The board of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, has congratulated their Chairperson, Aisha Falode, for the Achievement Award in Football Development presented to her at the Pitch Awards, the biggest football awards in Nigeria, organised by Matchmakers Nigeria, in Port Harcourt on Monday, May 28, 2018,National Daily learnt.

The Head, NWFL Media Committee, Henrietta Ukaigwe, said the award presented to Falode was well deserved going by her achievements in football development especially in the massive upliftment of the standard of the Nigerian Women Premier League football over the years.

Ukaigwe noted that, the doggedness, persistence and consistence of the NWFL Chairperson in achieving greater feats in the Nigerian Women’s league, brought stability and development in the standard and conduct of the league in all aspects.

“Today, the Nigeria Women Premier League is now a big product with a wide range of media coverage both in the conventional and new media, bigger than ever.”
Another board member of the NWFL, Honourable Kemisola Adesanya, also commended the Chairperson for her achievements in football development.

“Falode is a team player any day, her commitments helped in taking women’s football to the height it is today, aside from having more of the league players in the national teams, the introduction of the Super Four and the Champions Shield, plus the high standard league games  watched by large spectators across the country further propelled the NWPL to higher development which the organisers of the Pitch Awards could not ignore. I congratulate Aisha Falode for winning this achievement award, the sky is her stepping stone.”
