Biafra separatists kill Cameroonian soldiers after UAV recon
The Biafra National League has killed five officers of the Cameroonian Rapid d’intervention Battalion (BIR), on Saturday morning Isangele.
The military team stormed the separatist camp after a UAV recon mission on Friday, hoping to plunder weapons stashed there.
But the militants reportedly open fire of them at long range , killing five of the soldiers.
The leader of BnL Bakassi Chapter, Ita Bassey confirmed the incident to newsmen.
“The Cameroonian forces came with three gunboats but did not fire a shot until the boys opened fire on them,” he said.
“They thought that nobody was in the camp, they wanted to go and take all the arms and ammunition but met their waterloo. The boys opened fire on them a few kilometers from the camp.”
