Buhari eulogises Balarabe Shehu elected President of World Engineering Federation
President Muhammadu Buhari has eulogized Engineer Mustafa Balarabe Shehu who was elected President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO).
The President acknowledged the overwhelming endorsement of Engineer Shehu by the members of the Federation at the on-going World Engineering summit in Costa Rica; saying it is a testament to his passion for the field of human endeavour, including his dedication towards ensuring a better ease of life for Nigerians, particularly, rural dwellers, using his familiar terrain of electrical engineering. Engineer Mustafa Balarabe Shehu, former President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, as well as Executive Vice President of the Federation took over the mantle of leadership of the Engineering organisations across the world in 2023. President Buhari enjoined WFEO President to use his wealth of experience and contacts to address some of the issues bedeviling the profession in Nigeria, essentially, the perennial occurrences of collapsed buildings and improvement in the energy sector.
President Buhari wished the WFEO president a successful tenure.
