A court has granted bail to popular Nigerian businessman and socialite, Linus Williams, widely known as B Lord, in a development that adds a fresh dimension to the high-profile case that has attracted widespread public attention.

The update was disclosed by human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, who revealed that the court approved the bail application on self-recognizance.

According to Sowore, the court ruled that the social media personality would not be required to provide sureties but must meet specific conditions set by the court. Chief among them is the directive that he deposits his international passport with the court authorities.

The case involving the businessman has generated significant interest on social media and among the public, though details of the charges and proceedings have yet to be fully outlined in official statements.
