EFCC nabs 11 internet fraudsters
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Borno State Command has revealed the arrest of 11 internet fraudsters in Jere and Maiduguri Local Government areas of the state. The EFCC identified that arrested persons to include: Olatunji Sherif, Bright Felix, Jude Linus Magaji, Jonah Jondi, Ojobaro Abdullahi, Jerry Zizighi, Micah Joseph, Mari Ayuba, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Adam Abiodun, and Victor Chinonso Okolieaboh. The commission said that they were arrested in a sting operation after receiving credible intelligence on their alleged criminal activities. The commission further said that items recovered at their residence included one Mercedes Benz GLK 350, a Toyota Corolla saloon car, smartphones, MTN 4G Wi-Fi, and power banks.
It maintained that the suspects will be charged to court after investigations.
