Fake LASTMA officer who made over one million naira monthly sentenced to two years jail
A Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court sitting at Bolade, on Monday, March 27, 2023, sentenced Omotutu Bamidele to two years imprisonment for impersonating and extorting money from motorists in Lagos.
Bamidele was arraigned by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) for illegally posing as a LASTMA Officer.

In a press statement released by the Director Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of (LASTMA), Mr Adebayo Taofiq said that Magistrate Kehinde Ogundare sentenced Omotutu Bamidele to a two-year jail term without any option of fine after he pleaded ‘Guilty’ to the two-count charges.
Magistrate Ogundare emphasized that the convict should serve the jail term with no fine option because of the gravity of the offences he has committed.
