Housemaid strangles ex-Gov Igbinedion’s mother, runs off with valuables
Dominio Okoro, the househelp who ran off with the jewels and money of her mistress, the mother of Edo former Gov Lucky Igbiedion found dead in her home, has been arrested.
Edo State Police Command said the arrest was in connection with the murder of Madam Maria Oredola Igbinedion.
Police said the 85-year-old woman was strangled at her residence in Ugbor, GRA, Benin-City, the State capital, and Okoro who attended on her ran away.
The suspect was arrested on Tuesday December 15, 2021 in Calabar, the capital of Cross River state, by a combined tactical team of the Nigerian Police.
She is detained at the Edo State Police headquarters in Benin City.
