How son of NEF leader Ango Abdullahi secured release from Abuja-Kaduna train attack terrorists
The kidnapped son of elder statesman and Northern Elders Forum (NEF) convener, Professor Ango Abdullahi has been released.
Sadiq was among the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack Boko Haram terrorists and bandits launched last month.
According to The Nation, Sadiq was released on Friday after extensive negotiation and ransom payment.
Sadik is the only son between Prof Abdullahi and late former minister, Hajiya Jummai Alhassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba.
The report said the terrorists didn’t know whom he was, and that his friends recognized him in the pictures the abductors released.
Sadik has been reunited with the family and currently undergoing a psychological rehabilitation in a private hospital.
