Amanda Van Annan was born into a family of intellectuals, politicians and diplomats, but chose a different career when she was just 16 years old.
She was always interested in Arts and wanted to excel in it. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London for her schooling soon after she was scouted by top makeup artist Susie Sollis.
Amanda signed with world-famous unique Model Management and started her career as an actor. She shot her first campaign for Vidal Sassaain. Later, she has done several shoots and runway assignments in London, Paris, Milan and New York.
She recently launched her book titled “Win the Runway”. Being a model herself she clearly knows how the modelling industry works.
Her book is a guide to all the models out there who are working quite hard to make it to the top of their career in this vast industry. Amanda in her book openly discusses all the stuff that happens in this industry which includes both the positive and the negative sides which are going on now for ages.
Her book “Win the Runway” simply lays out the good, the bad and the ugly side of the industry.
Amanda also talked about sensitive topics which usually nobody wants to talk about.
Her book touches on the subject that is actually being debated in the world of modelling which includes racism, sexual abuse, drug abuse and nepotism. In the modelling arena, people usually don’t like to talk about these issues, they only wanted to show the good side of this industry.
But Amanda wanted the people to know how actually the industry runs revealing both its good and bad sides. Her book also shows the situations that models go through in their career and how they deal with them and eventually move on.
“Win the runaway” is also launching an online model coaching program which teams up with models worldwide, photographers and agent who are coming together to help a global coaching program aimed at aspiring models.
Amanda is also planning to launch a multiband beauty ecommerce site.
Amanda Van Annan is a warm and very caring woman who is quite assertive and motivated. She believes if people strive hard then can maximize their full potential. She hopes that her sincere concern for others manifests itself in her work as well as her life.
