Imo: Okorocha reveals why Oyegun takes side with ememies to rock APC
Imo Gov.Rochas Okorocha has accused the APC National Chairman John Oyegun of collaborating with the National Organising Secretary of the party Sen. Osita Izunaso, to stir the party against him.
Okorocha accused Oyegun of carryong out“a vendetta mission against him” because he oposed Oyegun’s tenure elongation proposal.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemedo, the governor challenged his adversaries within the APC to allow party congresses to hold in the 305 wards in the state–instead of running to Abuja to manipulate the process .
The governor said he thought that the outcome of the Anambra State governorship election would have made some of the NWC members of the party to be in a position to “detach noise making from reality.”
Okorocha believes he is the face of the APC in the southeast, and those members of the coalition of stakeholders fighting him in Imo are ungrateful.
The governor stretches his influence to thin when he decided to foist hus son-on-law and chief of staff Uche Nwosu on the party as the next guber candidate of the APC.
A clique then sprang up within the party to frustrate him—apparently with the help of the party’s NWC, especially chairman Oyegun who believes some injustice is going on in the state
