Lagos: INEC holds Mock Accreditation Exercise in selected locations, Saturday
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Lagos State unveils plan to hold a Mock Accreditation Exercise in the State, on Saturday 4th February,2023.
In a statement signed by Mrs. Adenike Tadese the Lagos INEC’s Head of Department Voter Education and Publicity, residents of Lagos State were put on alert for a test run exercise, meant to assess the functionality of the Bi-Modal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS) ahead of the 2023 general election in the state.
According to the statement, “the exercise shall hold on Saturday 4th February,2023 in six selected Local Government Areas at two LGAs per Senatorial District, namely; Ikorodu,Somolu,Eti-Osa,Surulere,Agege and Ikeja LGA.

The commission further directed that: “ Exercise should hold in two polling units in the locations selected between the hours of 8:30 AM and 2:30PM that Saturday.”
INEC however, enjoins NGOs, CSOs and the general publics to come out enmasse to monitor and participate in the exercise in the various designated LGAs.
