Locally-made Noodles safe for consumption –NAFDAC
The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, Mojisola Adeyeye, has said that the agency did not ban noodles in the country.
Adeyeye revealed this while appearing on AriseTV on Thursday.
The NAFDAC DG went on to say that the noodles that were locally produced in Nigeria were safe for consumption.

She said, “There is no ban by NAFDAC. The ban was made by the federal government many years ago even before my time to encourage local manufacturing approved by NAFDAC.
“There is no ban related to noodles or to the noodles in Taiwan and Malaysia. The locally manufactured noodles are safe. However, science is not static but dynamic.
“After the incident in Taiwan, we went into precautionary measures, examining and testing the noodles and other products for ethylene oxide and making sure there is no infiltration or smuggling into the country.”
