Manchester United eye Willian as replacement for Mata
By Boluwatife Ezekiel Olaleye
Manchester United want to sign Chelsea ace Willian this summer – and are willing to let Juan Mata leave, according to reports.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since Jose Mourinho took charge – and his representatives apparently held talks with the United hierarchy last summer.
With the Brazilian a firm target for United, the club are also happy to let Spanish star Mata leave, reports The Sun .
The playmaker, who soon turns 30, has a contract with United until 2019, after the club recently triggered the option of adding an extra year to his current deal.
However, should Mourinho capture Willian’s signature it seems he would be more than happy to let Mata go.
