More than 50 worshippers killed by terrorists in Ondo
No few than 50 worshippers have been killed in an attack inside the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The attack occurred on Sunday morning while service was in session
According to witnesses, the gunmen stormed the church during service and started shooting.
Videos of the church interior reveal bodies lying on the floor, pools of blood, and chaos.
Besides shooting, explosives also went off inside premises of the church.
It was gathered the injured and the dead were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Owo, for medical attention.
Chief Medical Director (CMD) of FMC, Owo, Dr Liasu Adeagbo, said many medical workers have been deployed there.
Many of the victims, including passers-by caught by stray bullet were taken to private hospital, too, were taken to private hospitals.
