Nigeria Decides 2023: PDP reschedules primaries
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday rescheduled its timetable for the conduct of primaries to elect members to represent the party in the 2023 general elections. In the rescheduled primaries, nomination of candidates for the House of Assembly election in the various states will now hold on May 18, 2022, nomination for House of Representatives candidates holds on May 20, Senate primaries now May 21, governorship primaries will hold on May 23, while the national convention will hold on a later date for the nomination of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate.
The PDP primaries were earlier scheduled to hold between May 7 and May 29. Electioneering campaigns were planned for September 2022.
