Ogun APC Chieftain Engr. Muritala, scores Governor Dapo Abiodun high
- rally delegates ahead of primaries
A Cheftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State Engr Muritala Salau Audu has galvanized delegates support base for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s second term bid, describing him as a performer whose class towers far above other contenders in the race ahead of the party’s primaries.
Engr. Muritala maintained this stance in a statement issued recently, highlighting many great developments the Governor’s second term bid when granted will attract to the state.
“When it comes to governor of Ogun state, and all other national and State representatives across Ogun state, the present occupier of the Oke mosan is by all standard a performer.
“A governor who within a short stint has turned the tide of Ogun State for good. Prince Dapo Abiodun has virtually delivered on all his electoral promises,” Muritala said.
In his view a second term for Governor Dapo Abiodun will translate to good political fortunes for the state, as he is likely to as a ranking governor be imbued with the required clout to influence greater development to the state.
“ A governor can only become so powerful in the FEC/State and earn influential and decisive Federal projects to the state only if he is a second term governor.
“Only top-performing governors get to feature in office for second term.
“A powerful position can only be given to a ranking governor not a rookie. This is one of the cogent reasons why delegates should vote for Prince Dapo Abiodun for second term in other to become a ranking governor, hence place him at the vantage position to earn a powerful position like chairman of governor’s Forum that will in turn help to attract developments to Ogun state.
Engr Muritala also reminded APC party faithful that Prince Dapo Abiodun has paid his dues in the party and did everything to nurture (when the party was at infancy stage) and protect the party.
“A dedicated and committed party leader like Dapo Abiodun who has made us proud in every aspect of governance should be rallied round and elected at the primary and general election at large.”
The APC Chieftain however, urged party leaders whom the Governor might have at one point or the other offended not wilfully but in the course of duty, to forgive and close rank with him for the obvious coming good not to suffer a hitch.
“I see victory at the end of the tunnel come 2023 with Prince Dapo Abiodun on the ballot for Ogun State,” Engr Muritala .
He added that other representatives both at the National and the State Assembly, who had equally proved their mettle should enjoy revalidation of the mandate to up their games for the benefits of all.
