OPSH kills 5 assailants in Bassa LGA

Operation Safe Haven deployed to restore Law and Order in Plateau state killed five assailants while repelling an attack on a village near Ncha in Bassa local government area of the state.
The incident happened over the weekend where about 20 persons were killed Friday morning.
National Daily gathered that a soldier with the taskforce was also killed during fire exchange that ensued while another was said to have been shot in the leg, is receiving treatment at the OPSH clinic.
According to the media and Information officer, Captain Adam Umar said, “Apart from the five people that were killed by our men; some were also injured. We couldn’t recover the bodies as the assailants ran with them.”
Captain Umar further stated that the Miango area is still dominated by men of the taskforce who have since commenced day and night patrol and are combing the general area in search of the fleeing assailants.
