Presidency 2023: National delegates scramble for hotel spaces in Abuja ahead PDP national convention
National delegates of the People Democratic Party (PDP) from the 36 states of the federation and the FCT are scrambling for hotel spaces in Abuja as they arrive at the FCT for the weekend national convention to elect the party’s flag bearer for the 2023 presidential election. Government officials and campaign coordinator have besieged the FCT, making arrangements for hotel accommodation for delegates loyal to their political principals in the race for the PDP presidential ticket as they arrive Abuja.
Party sources disclosed to National Daily that several national delegates did not wait for the Wednesday primaries across the states for the election of the governorship candidate. Others who participated in the state primaries hurriedly made their ways to the FCT.
The delegates, according to party source, are jealously shielded in their hotels by campaign coordinators of the various presidential aspirants to forestall the infiltration by the opponents.
Hotel owners in Abuja are currently having a business boom as the delegates arrived.
