Professor, others killed in Maiduguri suicide attack

The University of Maiduguri was on Monday attacked by twin suicide bombers killing a professor, a child, the two suicide bombers and injured 17 People.
National Daily learnt that the twin blast at University happened about 5am on Monday.
It was learnt that one of the suicide bombers detonated his explosion at a Mosque near Gate 1 just as worshippers were observing their early morning prayer.
The second attack was said to have occurred at Gate 5 of the University. In both incidence, the suicide attackers were killed.
The Head Media and Public Relations of the school, Sani Datti, confirmed the attack adding that rescue and security officials were at scene.
He further disclosed that 17 people were injured and were evacuated to Hospital medical facility.
Attempt to contact the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 7 Division, Col Mustapha Anka on phone was not possible as he did not answer his phone. Also, a text sent has not been responded to
