Youths protest high cost of living, hardship in Ibadan
Protest erupted in Ibadan, Oyo State, Southwest, Nigeria, on Monday over hardship caused by high cost of living in the country. Youths converged in their thousands in Mokola area of the ancient city, displaying placard with diverse inscriptions while chanting solidarity songs to express their grievances.

The youths displayed placards, conveying their messages – “Open Borders; End Hardship”; “End Nigerian Hardship”; “End Bad Governance”; “Mr. President, This is Not The Hope. This is….”; “The poor is starving”; etc.
The protests spread to Sango and Iwo Road in the heart of Ibadan.
Protest of the rising cost of living first erupted in Minna, Niger State, penultimate week, later spread to Kano, Kano State; Lokoja, Kogi State, etc.
