Rage of fury in Imo as unknown gunmen set ablaze Orsu LG secretariat
There was increasing rage of fury in Imo State as the deadly unknown gunmen set ablaze the secretariat of Orsu Local Government Area in the state. Unknown gunmen who have been terrorizing states in southeast Nigeria, had earlier burnt the residence of the Commissioner for Labour, Employment, and Productivit, Ford Ozumba, in the local government.
The secretariat of the Orsu Local Government Area is located in Awo Idemili.
The gunmen who were said to have invaded the secretariat in large burnt many structures in the premises, which include the office of the chairman, the administrative block, as well as setting several vehicles parked at the secretariat ablaze.
The Imo State Police Command had since intervened, deployed personnel to the scene, while investigating the invasion and destruction of the secretariat by the unknown gunmen.
Gunmen have continued to unleash violence on security structures and personnel in Imo State, and some other states in the southeast. They have attacked and bombed police stations at several locations, killed police officers at different times, among others.
