Reactions as Peter Obi’s condemns assassination attempt on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah
The Labour Party presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi has risen in condemnation of the ambush of the convoy of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah representing Anambra South senatorial zone. Recall that the Senator was attacked at Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka local government area of the state on Sunday, leading to the death of some of his aides and police escort who tried to repel the attack.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi’s statement in reaction to the incident stirred mixed reactions from Nigerians online. In commiserating with the Senator and the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate encounter, Peter Obi re-emphasized the need for enhanced security in the country, urging the federal and state government to swiftly and urgently fish out those responsible for the dastardly act, and make them pay accordingly.
However, while some Nigerians on social media criticised the rather late reaction and shallow reaction, some other tweeps saw it as proper.
