Many people dream of being successful entrepreneurs, but only a few have achieved that goal. Those who are still working towards their dreams turn to opportunities to get advice from entrepreneurs like Reco Jefferson. One of the ways Jefferson shares this advice is via events like Mastermind.
Recently, Jefferson sat down with us and reminisced about his first-ever Mastermind.
For Jefferson, his first-ever Mastermind was an important milestone in his career. When asked about the most satisfying moment in his work, he says, “It is hosting my first ever Mastermind. I had no idea that so many people were willing to travel to me just to get advice.”
11This was not the first time Jefferson had given his expert advice, but it was the first time he did so on a larger scale.
Jefferson has been providing his friends with advice for years. “When my friends began asking me for advice, that’s when I realized I enjoyed helping others achieve success.” That earlier advice simply came in a different form than what he shared at Mastermind.
Jefferson describes spending time “just chatting with my good friends about life and making small improvements. They’ll mention something in passing, and I’ll come up with concepts and act on them.”
Ever since first entering the business world, Jefferson has enjoyed the same main motivation: “I love growing businesses and helping out people in my community.”
Many of the themes and advice that Jefferson shared during his first-ever Mastermind are in line with the advice he offers today. He is clear that “success isn’t necessarily financial.”
Jefferson says, “If you wake up in the morning and you’re proud of what you’ve accomplished, then you’re successful.”
Jefferson also has specific advice for those who prefer to work towards clear financial goals. “You have to show up every single day. Forming good, small habits will lend to larger ones in the future. Habits lead to structure that will enable you to build up your business.”
The business advice Jefferson offers to others is the same strategy that he applies over the years. He began life poor but managed to set up not just one but several thriving businesses.
Now, he makes a seven-figure income from those businesses while also offering business consulting services to help others achieve the same results.
Jefferson has come a long way since his first-ever Mastermind, but his advice for future business owners mostly remains the same. “Don’t listen to the naysayers.
Everyone has an opinion about what you can become, and they are usually wrong. If you’re truly putting in the work every single day, then the results will come.”
