CG Musa 4 PBAT’ group declares support for Tinubu’s 2027 ambition, cites strategic leadership

A newly formed political movement operating under the banner of CG Musa 4 PBAT has formally declared its unwavering support for the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group made its position known during a press briefing held in Abuja, signalling the early mobilization of political structures aimed at consolidating the current government’s policy directions.

The movement represents a growing coalition of citizens who view the administration’s current trajectory as foundational to Nigeria’s long-term stability and progress, our correspondent reports.

​Speaking at the briefing, the Director General of the group, Barr Babakura Waziri, articulated the core identity of the movement, characterizing it as a broad-based coalition that transcends regional, ethnic, and political fault lines.

He emphasized that the assembly brings together Nigerians from diverse backgrounds who are bound by a singular, shared conviction in the President’s leadership style and his overarching vision for national development.

Waziri indicated that the group’s primary objective is to build a robust nationwide network that will champion the achievements of the administration and convince the electorate of the necessity of political continuity.

​Also speaking, the group’s Director of Publicity, Usman Saleh Hassan, introduced a philosophical perspective to justify their endorsement, invoking the classical political theory of Niccolò Machiavelli, referencing the philosopher’s famous assertion that the intelligence and capability of a ruler are first estimated by observing the quality of the persons he keeps around him.

Hassan applied the historical insight to contemporary Nigerian politics, arguing that Tinubu has consistently demonstrated exceptional strategic judgment through his high-level appointments.

​He pointed to the inclusion of highly capable and experienced figures within the government, highlighting the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, as a prime example of a merit-based appointment.

He argued that by surrounding himself with technocrats and seasoned military strategists, the president has established a leadership paradigm grounded in competence rather than mere political expediency.

This deliberate assembly of talent, according to the group, serves as a testament to the administration’s capacity to confront the nation’s complex challenges effectively.

​Also, Waziri, who spoke earlier, provided a comprehensive overview of the tangible governance metrics that informed the group’s early endorsement.

He pointed to the sweeping economic reforms, targeted security initiatives, expansive youth empowerment programmes, and critical infrastructure projects as the fundamental drivers of their support, using the platform CG Musa 4 PBAT Group.

The movement firmly maintains that the far-reaching policies initiated under the Renewed Hope Agenda require an extended timeline to fully mature and yield their intended benefits for the average citizen.

​He warned against the dangers of political interruption, suggesting that a change in leadership could lead to policy reversals and derail the fragile progress already recorded.

“This administration has successfully carved out a definitive pathway for economic recovery, deep-seated institutional reforms, structural infrastructure expansion, and sustainable youth development,” he said.
