Release Dasuki, El-Zakzaky – CAN president to President Buhari
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki Independent reports that the president of CAN, Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, in a press conference at the Nigerian Baptist Convention, held at Baptist Seminary, Ogbomoso called on the president to also negotiate with Boko Haram terrorists for the release of Leah Sharibu and other girls held hostage.
Ayokunle said: “We urge the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, to put all machinery in motion to squarely address in a better way the issues of insecurity such as kidnapping, Islamic insurgency called Boko Haram, herdsmen’s attacks, and ethnic militia disturbances in the North-East of Nigeria.
All the people in captivity have been there for too long, especially Leah Sharibu and the remaining Chibok girls.
“Of course, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and the former presidential security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who are in the hands of the Federal Government are also due for release.”
The CAN president also called on religious leaders to be mindful of their miracles saying those performing fake miracles will go to hell.
He said: “On a serious note, if any servant of God is organising man-made miracles, saying God has done what he has not done, that person will go to hell. He is not of the church of Christ. These are people whose bellies are their gods. They are not mindful of the things of the scriptures.

“I will admonish those who allow themselves to be used for man-made miracles to behave better. And if you see any so-called minister of the gospel who is fond of organising man-made miracles, don’t patronise their churches again.
Let their churches be empty, so that they can go and look for a better job.”
