Reps orders Health Ministry to return N10bn for COVID-19 vaccine production to Federation Account
The House Representatives of the National Assembly has ordered the Federal Ministry of Health to return N10 billion disbursed for the production of COVID-19 Vaccine into Federation Account.
The fund was released in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The House Committee on Health had noted that the production of COVID-19 Vaccine for which N10 billion was approved and released, was not done, and, therefore, adding that the money was not returned to government’s coffers.
The House, therefore, directed that the Health Ministry return the N10 billion to the national treasury.
