Sen. Adeleke in dock for cheating in exam
A senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and PDP governorship loser in the September 22 election in Osun was in dock at a federal high court in Abuja on Wednesday.
Sen. Ademola Adeleke was arraigned Wednesday on a four-count charge of exam malpractices.
The police said he presented himself as a student of the Ojo-aron Community Grammar School, Osun, in 2017.
He was brought to court with four others, including the school principal.
Mr Adeleke was however granted bail on self-recognizance by Justice I E, Ekwo.
The court ordered him to deposit his international passport with the registrar.
He was also asked to sign a bond stating that he will not jump bail.
Adeleke, known as the dancing senator, has denied the allegation.
He claimed he was being witch hunted.
While he fights the exam malpractice legal battle on the one hand, he is also contesting his loss to the APC candidate Gboyega Oyetola at the election tribunal in Osun.
