African Action Conference presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has condemned a court order barring supporters of Labor presidential candidate Peter Obi from holding a rally at Lekki Tollgate in Lagos state on October 1.

After a Federal High Court in Lagos ordered the party and its supporters not to assemble at a toll booth in Lekki on Wednesday, he expressed dissatisfaction with the order on his Twitter account.
Sowore went on to say that his rejection of the court’s decision does not imply that he is endorsing any candidate for the 2023 election other than himself.

He tweeted, “It is completely wrong for anyone to have gone to court to stifle a legitimate political gathering by #PeterObi supporters at #Lekkitollgate and equally dangerous that a judge gave an order stopping the gathering. It is a matter of time before a crazy injunction is granted that opposition groups can’t campaign in #OfficialAPCNg stronghold. I totally condemn these acts.”
