Tambuwal lauds Peter Obi on 64th birthday, Hails His ‘Integrity, Discipline, and Service’ in politics
Senator Aminu Tambuwal, the former Governor of Sokoto State, has extended warm birthday wishes to the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, as he marks his 64th birthday.
In a post shared on his official X account, @AWTambuwal, Senator Tambuwal described Obi as a political figure who embodies the potential for principled leadership in Nigeria.
Tambuwal’s message, shared publicly, stated: “On the occasion of your 64th birthday, I extend my warmest wishes to you, Your Excellency, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi.” He praised Obi’s character, asserting, “In a time when our nation yearns for principled leadership and moral clarity, your life has come to represent the possibility of a politics grounded in integrity, discipline, and service.”
The former governor highlighted Obi’s consistent choices in public life, noting, “You have consistently chosen the path of prudence over populism, of compassion over convenience, and of conscience over conformity.”
He recalled Obi’s tenure as Governor of Anambra State, stating that it “was marked by fiscal responsibility, investment in education and health, and a governance model that placed the people first.”
Beyond public office, Tambuwal acknowledged Obi’s continued philanthropic efforts: “Even outside public office, your continued support to schools, hospitals, and communities across Nigeria speaks volumes of your philanthropy and commitment to humanity.”

Senator Tambuwal’s birthday message concluded with well wishes for the Labour Party chieftain: “As you mark this new age, may you be granted greater strength, wisdom, and grace to remain steadfast in your convictions — and may your voice continue to echo where it matters most: in the hearts of the people.
