Tears as policeman accidentally kills colleague in Plateau market
Tragedy struck on Wednesday, May 22, when a policeman accidentally shot and killed his colleague at Terminus Market in Jos, Plateau State.
It was gathered that the police officers, assigned to the Jos Metropolitan Development Board’s enforcement team, were enforcing laws prohibiting street trading in the area when the tragic incident occurred.
The police officers were among security personnel deployed by the state government to ensure street traders are kicked out of the area.
It was gathered that the unexpected event caused unrest in the area, resulting in the use of tear gas to break up the crowd.
