Edo Assembly to donate 48 Powerbikes to state security Network
Edo state House of Assembly has set Machinery in motion to donate 48 Power bikes to the State Security Network, this is part of the legislator’s contribution to improving security in the state.
Speaker, Rt Hon Blessing Agbebaku disclosed this during plenary after the passage of a bill to Establish Edo State Community Security Corps Governance law 2024.
The bill is to promote collaboration with other security agencies to ensure public safety and protection of the people.
Rt Hon Blessing Agbebaku stated that the presentation will be held on Friday,14th June 2024.
The House also passed a Bill for a Law to Establish the Edo State Tourism Agency charged with the responsibility to facilitate
development and regulations of Tourism in Edo state.

The Speaker thereafter directed the Clerk, Alhaji Yahaya Audu Omogbai to send clean copies of both bills to the Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki for his assent.
The House set up an Ad Hoc committee of Nine lawmakers with Hon Charity Aiguobarueghian as Chairman to investigate the activities of market unions in the state.
This is a Sequel to a petition by the Traders Welfare Union, seeking parliamentary intervention.
Mr. Speaker also used the opportunity to announce activities for the First anniversary of the 8th Assembly with a thanksgiving mass at St Paul’s Catholic Church, Airport Road on Sunday, June 16th, 2024, at 9 am.
On Wednesday 19th June 2024, all staff and legislators are to be in the Chambers for a special edition of the monthly Fellowship program of the House Fellowship.
The House plenary was thereafter adjourned to Monday 24th June 2024.
