Police Arrest Transformer Vandal in Osun
The Osun State Police Commandhas nabbed a serial transformer vandal known as Yusuf Adamu.
According to information gathered by the Press on Thursday from the Osun Command Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, the suspect, Adamu, was caught on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at around 11:45 pm.
Opalola said, “The incident happened on 02/06/2024 at about 11:45 pm.
Information was received by operatives of Police Divisional Headquarters ‘B’ Division Ede that a young man later identified as Yusuf Adamu who hails from Kebbi State was seen moving at night with the electricity transformer’s cable which was suspected to have been removed from a transformer.

“Upon receipt of this information, a team of operatives swung into action and arrested the said suspect who was still in possession of the exhibit.
“He has confessed to the crime.
Meanwhile, the investigation is still ongoing.”
She further stated that after the inquiry was completed, the case would be filed in court.
